Red Bull brengt talenten onder in Formule 2 en Formule 3

Red Bull heeft de plannen voor de talenten uit het opleidingsprogramma uit de doeken gedaan. De energiedrankenfabrikant slaat de handen ineen met de teams van Carlin en Hitech GP. De leden uit het Red Bull Junior Team worden ondergebracht in de Formule 2 en Formule 3.

In de Formule 2 zullen Jehan Daruvala, Juri Vips en Liam Lawson zich moeten bewijzen. Daruvala zal weer uitkomen voor Carlin, Vips en Lawson gaan rijden voor Hitech GP. Lawson combineert zijn activiteiten in de Formule 2 met racen in de DTM samen met voormalig Red Bull Racing-coureur Alexander Albon.

In de Formule 3 stappen Ayumu Iwasa en Jak Crawford in bij Hitech GP. Iwasa is nieuw in het Red Bull Junior Team, de jonge Japanner veroverde vorig jaar de titel in het Frans Formule 4-kampioenschap. Jonny Edgar maakt bij Carlin de overstap van de Formule 4 naar de Formule 3.

Red Bull ondersteunt ook nog drie talenten die niet tot het officiële Red Bull Junior Team behoren, namelijk Dennis Hauger, Jack Doohan en Arvid Lindblad. Hauger en Doohan zullen ook in 2021 in de Formule 3 racen, Lindblad is nog actief in de karting.
