Alfa Romeo bevestigt: presentatie nieuwe auto op 22 februari

Het team van Alfa Romeo heeft de geruchten over de presentatiedatum van de auto voor 2021 bevestigd. De datum uit de verhalen was correct, de Italiaanse renstal onthult de nieuwe bolide op 22 februari. Ook de locatie was juist voorspeld, namelijk de Poolse stad Warschau.

Deze locatie is een gevolg van de samenwerking tussen Alfa Romeo en titelsponsor Orlen, wat het team weer te danken heeft aan de positie die Robert Kubica binnen het team bekleedt. De Pool fungeert als test- en reserverijder en zorgde tevens voor de komst van een Poolse geldschieter.

Orlen heeft nu dus bedongen dat de presentatie van de nieuwe Alfa Romeo op 22 februari in Polen plaats zal vinden. Kubica richt zich voor 2021 op enkele vrijdagtrainingen, het racen is komend seizoen weer weggelegd voor Kimi Raikkonen en Antonio Giovinazzi.
