De Formule 1-reglementen zijn voor 2021 ingrijpender gewijzigd dan je in eerste instantie zou denken. Dat stelt James Allison, technisch directeur bij Mercedes, in een video waarin hij de aanpassingen aan de regels voor komend seizoen bespreekt. Het uitgangspunt was dat er niet zo veel zou veranderen aan de auto's, de chassis' bleven immers gelijk. Dat betekent echter niet dat de teams rustig achterover kunnen leunen tot de jaargang begint, er is genoeg werk aan de winkel.
