Aston Martin F1 Team verwelkomt Epos als nieuwe partner

Het team van Aston Martin heeft een nieuwe partner aan zich weten te binden. Het gaat om Epos, specialist in audioapparatuur. Het bedrijf is dan ook de nieuwe Global Audio Partner van Aston Martin F1 Team. Het logo van de firma zal in elk geval een plekje op de teamkleding krijgen en de Britse renstal gaat gebruik maken van apparatuur van Epos.

Aston Martin-teambaas Otmar Szafnauer: "Het doet ons deugd om Epos als nieuwe partner te verwelkomen. Precieze en gestroomlijnde communicatie is van essentieel belang voor een Formule 1-team en kan zich op de baan direct vertalen in successen. Of het nou een beslissing aan de pitmuur of de processen in de fabriek betreft, bij alles streven we naar de beste performance. Gezien het belang van effectieve communicatie vormt Epos de ideale partner voor ons team."

Epos-voorzitter Jeppe Dalberg-Larsen vult aan: "We zijn verguld om als partner bij Aston Martin aan de slag te gaan voor de terugkeer van dit iconische merk in de Formule 1 na meer dan zestig jaar afwezigheid. De Formule 1 is veel meer dan snelheid. Het draait om het verzilveren van menselijke potentie door middel van technologie, innovatie en vernuftige engineering. Dat staat ook centraal bij alles wat we bij Epos doen, daarom passen Aston Martin en wij zo goed bij elkaar."

    "Aston Martin", "Cognizant", "Epos"; het zijn allemaal imposante, soms zelfs sjieke namen. Ik vraag me daarom af of Seb het aandurft om zijn bolide "Pussy Galore" te gaan noemen ;-)

      James Bond (ook onlosmakelijk verbonden aan de naam Aston martin) was ook een sjieke gentleman. Toegegeven, sjieke gentlemen die verslaafd is aan (in volgorde van zwaarte verslaving) sigaretten, drank en vrouwen, maar hij is wel een sjieke gentleman. Over de vrouwen die hij versleet, die hebben ook lang niet allemaal van die brave namen. Ik noem een Honey Ryder, Kissy Suzuki, Mary Goodnight, Octopussy en ja, dus ook Pussy Galore.
      Ik zou, als ik Seb was, kijken of ik nog wat meer pikante namen aan de auto's kan geven. Als AM slim is, komen ze dan ook met een DBS Superlegerra Seb 'Xenia Onatopp' edition.

      @Walteij: Goede suggestie. Ik weet niet of Xenia nou wel zo'n passende naam voor een AM is; zij reed zelf, volgens mij in een Ferrari.
      Misschien is de Holly Goodhead nog een kanshebster? ;-)

      Hij kan ook de vrouwennamen uit Austin Powers gaan gebruiken.
      Ivana Humalot, Felicity Shagwell, Foxxy Cleopatra, Alotta Fagina, Fook Mi and Fook Yu, Dixie Normous en als het een heel lelijke auto is, kan hij hem altijd nog Una Brau noemen.

    Wanneer gaat GPToday de datums op de site plaatsen van de wintertesten en presentatie datums ?
    Er staat nog steeds de uitslag van de laatste grandprix en de test kalender van afgelopen seizoen..... dat weten we nu allemaal wel.
