Williams ook dit jaar verzekerd van sponsoring Financial Times

Dagblad Financial Times blijft sowieso nog een jaar sponsor van het team van Williams. De krant heeft de sponsorovereenkomst met de Britse renstal verlengd voor 2021. De samenwerking begon in 2019 en gaat nu zijn derde jaar in. Het logo van de Financial Times krijgt weer een plekje op de FW43B, waarschijnlijk aan de binnenkant van de wing-end plates van de achtervleugel.

Tim Hunt, commercieel en marketingdirecteur bij Williams: "Het stemt ons zeer tevreden dat we de samenwerking met de Financial Times voort zullen zetten tijdens het seizoen 2021. Deze coöperatie verstevigt de kern van wat wij partners te bieden hebben en geeft ons als team meer bereik op een globale schaal. Hierdoor komen wij in de gelegenheid om ons merk te laten groeien en nieuwe klanten aan te spreken. We kijken ernaar uit om de relatie met de Financial Times komend seizoen en hopelijk ook de jaren daarna verder uit te bouwen."

Namens Financial Times reageerde marketingdirecteur David Buttle als volgt: "Het is fantastisch om onze overeenkomst met Williams te vernieuwen voor het nieuwe tijdperk dat aanbreekt voor het team. Deze verlenging reflecteert onze toewijding om het merk FT uit te breiden. Dit partnerschap stelt ons ook in staat om samen met Williams te werken aan commerciële oplossingen die verder gaan dan de som der delen. We hebben een stevige fundering gelegd en gaan daarop voortborduren, en we wensen het team veel succes op de baan toe voor 2021."

Extra centjes zijn altijd leuk. Het is ook kwestie van tijd dat de nieuwe (vaccin-productie-)'bedrijven' F1 overnemen qua sponsoring. Zoals Clemenza al zei - de namen van teams zouden ook anders worden ineens. Bijvoorbeeld Pfizer Mercedes F1, Racing Astrazeneca of Ferrari Moderna enz.

Vind het altijd wel leuk hoe ze zo mooi weten te brengen hoe betrokken ze wel niet zijn en dat het allemaal zoveel meer is dan geld geven en reclame maken.
