Winnen in de Formule 1 is waar elke coureur van droomt. Echter, het komt uiteraard wel eens voor dat coureur in een positie verkeert waarin een waarschijnlijke overwinning in rook op gaat. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan Lewis Hamilton in 2016 tijdens de Grand Prix van Maleisië of Sebastian Vettel in 2018 tijdens de Grand Prix van Duitsland.

Wanneer het je eerste overwinning zou zijn is dat natuurlijk al helemaal vervelend; denk aan Charles Leclerc die op dominante wijze de Grand Prix van Bahrein leek te gaan winnen tot een motorprobleem hem terug zal vallen naar "slechts" een derde plek.
