Alfa Romeo Racing slaat Zadara als nieuwe partner aan de haak

Het Formule 1-team van Alfa Romeo heeft een nieuwe partner aan zich weten te binden. Het gaat om Zadara, specialist op gebied van cloud-services. Het bedrijf gaat aan de slag als de officiële cloudleverancier van Alfa Romeo. Het logo van de firma prijkt op de barge boards van de C41.

"De Formule 1 begint lang voordat je op het circuit komt met de techniek en het ontwerp van de auto", zegt Zadara-directeur Nelson Nahum. "Engineering is afhankelijk van enorme hoeveelheden data, verzameld op locaties over de hele wereld. Deze gegevens zijn ook nodig voor beslissingen in een fractie van een seconde die tijdens de race worden genomen. We zijn er trots op de cloudleverancier van Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN te zijn en kijken uit naar dit raceseizoen."

Alfa Romeo-teambaas Frederic Vasseur voegt toe: "Gegevens spelen een altijd belangrijke rol in wat we doen bij Sauber Motorsport. Datagestuurde beslissingen kunnen nemen in bijna realtime en een cloudtechnologiepartner zoals Zadara hebben om ervoor te zorgen dat gegevens van onze auto's en coureurs worden vastgelegd, beveiligd en op het juiste moment naar de juiste plaats worden vervoerd, betekent dat dit een partnerschap is dat we niet alleen zijn waarderen, maar waarvan we ook afhankelijk zijn om prestaties op en naast de baan te leveren."
