NetApp sluit zich als partner aan bij Aston Martin F1 Team

Aston Martin F1 Team heeft wederom een partner aan zich weten te binden. Dit keer gaat het om NetApp, een softwarebedrijf dat gespecialiseerd is in dataopslag en cloud-technologie. Met die middelen zal de firma Aston Martin ook helpen om de operationele processen te stroomlijnen voor de terugkeer van het Britse merk in de Formule 1 na meer dan zestig jaar afwezigheid.

Aston Martin-teambaas Otmar Szafnauer: "Formule 1-teams zijn altijd pioniers geweest als het gaat om het analyseren van data ten behoeve van een competitief voordeel. Een fractie van een seconde kan immers het verschil betekenen tussen pole position en een startplek in de middenmoot. De samenwerking met NetApp vertegenwoordigt een nieuwe fase in onze continue jacht op verbeteringen."

"Het doet ons dan ook deugd om NetApp te introduceren als onderdeel van Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team in ons streven om alles wat we doen sneller en slimmer te maken.       Stroll sr is goed en integer bekend. Iemand die onder alle omstandigheden geld heeft gemaakt voor hem en zijn partners. Dat is een track record die makkelijk verkoopt.

      Overigens ken ik NetApp als storage vendor. En die ging heel slecht omdat ze in een niche markt zaten.
      Blijkbaar hebben ze een nieuwe visie. Zo leer ik nog eens wat via f1.

      Mwah, het gaat erom wat ze betalen natuurlijk. De afgelopen jaren hebben we meerderen van de kleine teams allerlei sponsoren zien displayen. Dat wil niet zeggen dat er ook veel binnengehaald wordt.

      NetApp is 1 van de grote storage spelers geweest. En ik denk dat ze nog steeds vooral dat zijn. Storage vendor. En vanuit mijn vorige werkgever werd en wordt ook een f1 team geponsord. En dat doen ze al vanaf de jaren 80. Voor IT bedrijven is het een samenwerking en een referentie richting potentiele klanten. F1 teams vragen tailor-made oplossingen. En zeker ook 100% beschikbaarheid van de oplossing.
      Het is weldegelijk een win-win indien ze een goed team sponsoren. Voor mij is het duidelijk dat NetApp vertrouwen heeft in het succes van AM.

    Mooi om te zien dat steeds meer sponsors zich binden aan AM. Je kunt een hoop zeggen over Stroll Sr. maar hij heeft het team mooi overeind gehouden en weer aantrekkelijk gemaakt voor sponsoren.
