Williams sluit meerjarige overeenkomst af met leverancier ZEISS

Het team van Williams heeft ZEISS gestrikt als nieuwe leverancier. ZEISS is een wereldleider op gebied van optica en opto-elektronica en heeft zich voor meerdere jaren aan de Britse renstal verbonden. Het logo van de firma prijkt dit jaar op de spiegels van de FW43B. Daarnaast voorziet het bedrijf Williams van het nieuwste snufjes voor de windtunnel en de fabriek in Grove.

Al Peasland, hoofd technische en innovatie partners bij Williams, reageert verrukt op de komst van ZEISS. "Het is geweldig nieuws om ZEISS als partner welkom te heten in het jaar dat zij hun 175-jarig jubileum vieren. Hun passie om uit te blinken brengt nieuwe meetcapaciteiten naar ons team. De competitieve wereld van de Formule 1 vereist een continue jacht op meer precisie en kwaliteit, daarom zijn wij dolblij met de komst van ZEISS."

Namens ZEISS voegt hoofd marketing Pedro Yanez toe: "Wij zijn verguld met deze nieuwe samenwerking met Williams Racing. De Formule 1 is de koningsklasse van de autosport. Dit is waar de beste coureurs ter wereld tegen elkaar strijden met auto's die tot stand zijn gekomen met de meest geavanceerde en verfijnde technologie ter wereld. Daar willen wij graag onderdeel van uitmaken en daarom zijn we trots om de handen ineen te slaan met Williams."

Top om te lezen dat Williams enkele nieuwe partners/sponsoren aan zich weet te binden. Hopelijk gaan we er ook wat van op terug zien in de livery van de wagen. Die is namelijk momenteel nogal leeg...
