Drie DRS-zones op het circuit van Sakhir voor Bahrein 2021

De internationale autosportbond FIA heeft de details aangekondigd voor het gebruik van het Drag Reduction System tijdens de Grand Prix van Bahrein van komend weekend. Het circuit van Sakhir wordt uitgerust drie DRS-zones, met ieder een apart detectiepunt.

Het eerste meetpunt ligt vijftig meter voor bocht 1, waarna de beweegbare achtervleugel 23 meter na bocht 3 te activeren is. Het tweede detectiepunt bevindt zich tien meter voor bocht 9. De tweede DRS-zone begint vijftig meter na bocht 10.

De derde en laatste DRS-zone op het Bahrain International Circuit nabij Sakhir is natuurlijk op het rechte stuk van start en finish. Het meetpunt is 110 meter voor bocht 14 gelegd en vervolgens is de achtervleugel 170 meter na bocht 15 open te klappen.
