Steiner: "Mick Schumacher veel nederiger dan Nikita Mazepin"

Mick Schumacher en Nikita Mazepin debuteren komend seizoen namens Haas F1 Team in de Formule 1. Daarmee heeft de Amerikaanse renstal niet alleen een jong en onervaren duo, maar ook nog eens twee totaal uiteenlopende karakters binnengehaald. Schumacher is meer ingetogen en bedeesd, Mazepin is uitbundiger en meer uitgesproken.

Haas F1-teambaas Günther Steiner ziet ook dat zijn rijders in niets op elkaar lijken. "Ze verschillen extreem van karakter en zullen daardoor ook nooit grote vrienden worden. Ze zullen niet bij elkaar over de vloer komen of met elkaar uit eten gaan, maar dat hoeft ook niet. Zolang ze elkaar maar verdragen en met elkaar samenwerken", vertelde hij in Suddeutsche Zeitung.

Steiner legt uit waarin de twee van elkaar verschillen: "Nikita is heel erg direct. Hij weet precies wat hij wil en neemt bij alles de kortst mogelijke route. Mick denkt veel meer over dingen na. Hij analyseert alles wat hij doet en stelt zich veel nederiger en meer bescheiden op dan Nikita."

Met twee persoonlijkheden die zo uiteenlopen lijkt een botsing van karakters onvermijdelijk. Mazepin is daar niet mee bezig, zo verkondigde hij aan persbureau Tass. "Natuurlijk is het belangrijk om betere resultaten te behalen dan mijn teamgenoot. Het maakt niets uit wie dat dan is. Zodra je in de Formule 1 bent aangekomen, is het belangrijk om op te vallen."

Lijkt me wel maar mooi om dat naast elkaar te zien ontwikkelen. Denk vooral als t niet zo loopt als t moet dat Mick in t voordeel is. Groter aanpassingsvermogen.

Wisdom factor lijkt bij Mick te zitten. Interessant om te kijken of dat dominant over ‘dominant/ego/rechtstreeks’ is.
Lijkt me wel maar mooi om dat naast elkaar te zien ontwikkelen. Denk vooral als t niet zo loopt als t moet dat Mick in t voordeel is. Groter aanpassingsvermogen.

  Ik ben benieuwd of onze vriend Mazepin het einde van het seizoen gaat halen. Met zijn gedrag en agressiviteit op en naast de baan zou het me niks verbazen wanneer hij de eerste coureur sinds lange tijd gaat zijn die door de FIA van de grid gehaald wordt.

Gezien Steiners commentaar op de karakters wordt het pas echt vervelend in het team als Schumacher de snelste blijkt te zijn. En dat zal ook wel zo zijn, dus maak je borst maar nat Steiner.....

Dat laatste zinnetje. Ik ben bang dat dit meer op negatieve manier op- en naast de baan gaat zijn i.p.v. teammaat verslaan en zoveel mogelijk punten binnenhalen.
