Lewis Hamilton sloot de derde vrije training van de Grand Prix van Bahrein als tweede af. Max Verstappen was ruim 7 tienden sneller dan de geridderde Brit. Echter, Hamilton heeft geen perfecte ronde ervaren. Tijdens zijn snelle ronde brak zijn achter-as uit in bocht 6, waarna Hamilton deze knap op wist te vangen. Zie in de video hieronder hoe hij dat deed!

    Hij moet dus minder langzaam door de bocht gaan en dat is tot nu toe het probleem met de huidige Mercedes.

    Is dit zijn snelste ronde? Dat zou wel de 7tiende in sector 2 verklaren. Dan kan het nog best close worden in de kwalificatie.

    Mercedes gaat gewoon niet mooi de bochten door, is goed te zien tussen Max en Lewis, is al beter dan vrijdag maar blijft een probleem zo te zien.

    Beide Mercedes coureurs zitten in een auto waarin ze zich niet comfortabel voelen. En alleen al dat gegeven gaat tijd kosten. Als je zeker bent van je auto kan je tot het gaatje gaan. Maar Lewes moet straks misschien kiezen tussen gokken dat het goed gaat of iets minder risico nemen en consolideren.

      Bottas had op exact dezelfde plek ook al alle moeite van de wereld om daar in de 5e versnelling doorheen te rijden, waar Max de bull gewoon vol in 6 doorheen stampt. Het is duidelijk dat ze bij Mercedes stevig aan de bak moeten want die zijn (itt wat velen zeggen) echt niet aan het zandzakken.
