Sergio Perez krijgt groen licht en mag racen in Canada

Sergio Perez mag komend weekend gewoon racen tijdens de Grand Prix van Canada. Dat maakte de Mexicaanse Sauber-coureur vandaag bekend. Perez moest de race in Monaco vanaf de zijlijn bekijken nadat hij in de kwalificatie hard crashte bij het uitkomen van de tunnel.

"Ik heb zojuist alle medische tests van de FIA met succes ondergaan", vertelde Perez. "Na Monaco vloog ik naar Zurich waar ik één check-up heb gehad in een kliniek. Daarna heb ik enkele dagen rust gehad in Mexico en daar knapte ik echt van op. Maandag en dinsdag heb ik wat gekart en het voelde meteen weer goed."
