Paul di Resta zet zinnen op toekomst bij Mercedes GP

Paul di Resta droomt van een toekomst bij Mercedes GP, al wil hij zich niet teveel bezig houden met wat wellicht ooit komen gaat. De Schot zit midden in zijn debuutseizoen en houdt alle aandacht bij zijn huidige werkgever Force India. Maar de zilverpijlen lonken.

Di Resta vertelde aan Sporting Life: Zes jaar geleden spande Mercedes zich enorm in voor mij en mijn loopbaan. Ik heb uitermate veel respect voor ze, omdat ik zonder hen niet zou zijn waar ik nu ben. Ik heb zes mooie jaren bij ze doorgebracht, een band opgebouwd en vrienden gemaakt.

Ik verdedig nu de eer van Force India en dat heb ik zelf afgedwongen met mijn prestaties. Maar Mercedes is een grote fabrikant en ik hoop ooit voor ze in de Formule 1 te racen. Maar laat ik me eerst concentreren op mijn taken bij Force India en mijn best doen in mijn debuutseizoen.
