Video: Megacrash van McNish in eerste uur van Le Mans

Allan McNish kan alweer naar huis. Zijn 24 uur van Le Mans zat er na een klein uur racen al op. De Audi-coureur crashte tegen een andere auto, knalde hard tegen de bandenstapels waarbij er veel onderdelen loskwamen van zijn bolide. Deze onderdelen vlogen over de bandenstapels, waar veel fotografen en andere mensen stonden. Zoals het er nu naar uitziet is er niemand gewond geraakt. F1Today.nl houdt de laatste berichten in de gaten.

      De auto is ongelovelijk veilig! Maar die mensen daarachter..., hoe simpel is het om voor hen een veiligere plek te vinden?

      Ik doelde idd niet op de auto, maar ik had toch zeker daarachter nog hekken verwacht oid. Stel je voor dat je een band tegen je aankrijgt, of de bolide zelf...

      McNish een sufferd? Voor wie denk je dat die blauwe vlag bedoeld was. Dit is het probleem van verschillende klassen door elkaar en het onderlinge snelheidsverschil.

    Lijkt er nu op dat er niemand serieus gewond is geraakt. Als je de beelden goed bekijk scheelt het ook echt werkelijk niks of hij was gewoon over de banden stapel gevlogen, en dan waren er zeker zwaargewonden gevallen of erger.

    Zo , die is wel stuk ja, daar gaan de monteurs wel wat werk aan hebben, dat redden ze noooooit in een uurtje 8-)
    Gelukkig niemand gewond geraakt.

    Sjesus wat hebben er een aantal mensen daar geluk zeg.
    Vooral die gast die zichzelf achter de scooter verbergt en die marshall in het blauw (Die niet eens om keek trouwens stoer hoor) die zowat een wiel op z\'n knars krijgt.

    Mooie kerel die Mcnish. Ik herinner me Japan in 2002(?) nog. De beste man vloog toen hard in de bandenstapel en eerste wat hij deed was naar zijn kruis grijpen. Toen een journalist vroeg waarom die daad deed zei die: \'ik wou kijken of alles er nog zat\'.

    Wat een irritante reclame van die wielrenner. Ik kan me reactie niet eens lezen.

    Ik moest lachen om die fotograaf die wegrende voor die band. Zet er een Benny Hill tune onder en hij is erg leuk. Gelukkig geen mensen gewond, en dat is het belangrijkste.

    Tjonge jonge, wat een domme actie van mc Nish. Dit kan intern toch niet zonder gevolgen blijven voor hem. Iemand met zoveel ervaring in het eerste uur van een 24 uursrace op zo\'n onlogische plek zoveel risico nemen. Ik ben blij dat er geen ernstige gevolgen zijn voor coureurs, persmuskieten en toeschouwers. Maar dat hij hiervoor straf krijgt lijkt me logisch

      Ben ik niet helemaal eens, het is een inschattingsfoutje van zowel McNish als die andere rijder. McNish verwachtte dat de achterblijver de wijdere lijn zou nemen en liet de wagen het gat in lopen op het moment dat die toch instuurde. Wat ik vreemd vond was de vangrail en hoe de auto daarop \&quot;explodeerde\&quot; + het gebrek aan fatsoenlijk hekwerk.

      Als je helemaal in het begin kijkt zie je links bovenin dat de blauwe vlag voor Beltoise wordt gezwaaid. Deze lijkt inderdaad ruimte te geven maar stuurt toch op het laatste moment in en raakt McNish achter. Het is Koploper vs achterblijver. Een gevaar wat altijd op de loer ligt als er verschillende klassen door elkaar rijden en het snelheidsverschil erg groot is.

    Echt ongelofelijk hoeveel geluk die fotografen hebben dat de wagen van McNish terug naar de grindbak valt en niet erover gaat. Gruwelcrash dit.
