Honda is tevreden over samenwerking met AlphaTauri

Red Bull Racing kan dit seizoen wedijveren met Mercedes in de strijd om de wereldtitels, mede dankzij de sterke prestaties van de Honda-krachtbron. Ook het zusterteam AlphaTauri behaalt met de Japanse motor goede resultaten in zowel race als kwalificatie.

Honda spreekt vaak over de succesvolle samenwerking met Red Bull, maar liet tijdens de persconferentie weten ook zeer tevreden te zijn met AlphaTauri. "We werken samen sinds 2018 en zijn daar erg tevreden over", zei technisch directeur Toyoharu Tanabe van de Japanse autofabrikant. "AlphaTauri's wagen laat goede prestaties zien. Vaak scoort Pierre Gasly een zesde plek in de kwalificatie. Soms hebben we goede of slechte wedstrijden, maar we zijn gewoon erg blij met de samenwerking met AlphaTauri."

Op dit moment is AlphaTauri vijfde in de tussenstand in de constructeurs met 46 punten. De renstal staat twee punten voor op Aston Martin.
