Max Verstappen scoort spetterende pole position in België: "Ik ben super blij"

Max Verstappen is dolblij na het behalen van zijn negende pole position. Het is voor het eerst dat de Limburger het snelste is tijdens de kwalificatie in België. 

Verstappen vertelt na de kwalifiatie: "Het was echt verraderlijk om te kwalificeren. Het is moeilijk om de auto op de baan te houden en om naar de juiste banden te wisselen op het juiste moment. Het is niet eenvoudig om zo'n lange pauze te hebben tussen Q2 en Q3 en om je dan weer aan te passen en de omstandigheden op het circuit weer opnieuw te leren."

Hij vervolgt: "Wij waren echter het snelste en dat is het meest belangrijke. Veel mensen waaronder ikzelf gingen naar buiten op de regenbanden en het ging echt heel langzaam. We waren veel seconden te langzaam en daarom wisselden wij naar de intermediates en die band kan weer niet zoveel stilstaand water verwerken. Ik ben super blij om een kwalificatie als deze te hebben na de zomerstop. Geweldig om weer een pole te pakken."

    Red Bull heeft wel de plank volledig misgeslagen met Perez. Waarom laten ze hem een ronde eerder een timed lap doen op een opdrogende baan. Slaat gewoon nergens op.

    spetterend 3 tienden voor een williams, als er iets zeer stevig en spetterend was dat zal het wel Russel zijn, wat een kerel Lewis gaat er zijn handen aan vol hebben volgend seizoen ik durf hem wel aan!!
