Kimi Räikkönen hervat in Sotsji zijn afscheidstournee. De populaire Fin moest de races in Zandvoort en Monza missen door een positieve coronatest maar keert in Rusland weer terug bij Alfa Romeo. En daar mag hij weer gaan doen wat hij het allerliefst doet: racen.

De afzwaaiende Fin kijkt in gesprek met Top Gear naar wat hij heeft gepresteerd in zijn lange carrière. De wereldkampioen van 2007 krijgt daar een aantal inkoppertjes voorgeschoteld. Zo moet hij vertellen waarom hij beroemd is: "Door het rond rijden van auto's. Maar ik zou graag hetzelfde doen zonder de bekendheid."

De Fin is al jaren een van de meest geliefde coureurs op de grid. Veelal door zijn droge opmerkingen, goede prestaties en zijn ongenuanceerde uitbarstingen op de boordradio. Räikkönen wordt zelf ook gevraagd naar zijn enorme populariteit: "Waarom moet ik dit beantwoorden? Ik ben mijzelf en ik doe wat goed voor mij voelt. Mijn bazen denken soms iets anders maar dat boeit mij niet. Je moet dingen op je eigen manier doen zodat je vrolijk bent."
