Bottas maakt zich geen zorgen over Alfa Romeo: "Resultaten gaan beter worden"

Valtteri Bottas is bezig aan zijn laatste maanden als Mercedes-coureur. De Fins coureur wordt vervangen door George Russell en heeft zelf onderdak gevonden bij het team van Alfa Romeo. Velen zien dat als een stap omlaag, de huidige Alfa-coureurs gooien immers geen hoge ogen.

Maar Bottas is echter een positief persoon en ziet dan ook genoeg kansen. In gesprek met Corriere Dello Sport spreekt hij zich uit: "Ik weet dat ze de auto dit jaar niet echt hebben ontwikkeld, dus ze hebben niet veel progressie geboekt. Maar ik weet wat hun plannen voor de toekomst zijn dus ik maak mij niet teveel zorgen."

Bottas weet dan ook zeker dat hij in 2022 vette punten kan gaan scoren: "Het was een feit dat ze niet zoveel progressie gingen boeken in dit seizoen. Volgend jaar is alles anders, de auto's gaan veranderen en ik weet dan ook zeker dat de resultaten steeds beter gaan worden."
