Mick Schumacher heeft goede hoop: "Hopelijk rijden we volgend jaar in het middenveld"

Het huidige seizoen kent vooralsnog weinig hoogtepunten voor het team van Haas. Mick Schumacher en Nikita Mazepin kunnen vooralsnog weinig potten breken. Toch is er hoop voor 2022, Haas is immers al lang en breed bezig met de nieuwe auto.

Mick Schumacher heeft goede hoop en ziet de toekomst zonnig voor zich. In gesprek met Motorsportweek.com gaat hij hierop in: "Hopelijk rijden we volgend jaar rond in het middenveld. Ik denk dat dat een haalbaar doel is omdat we iets eerder zijn begonnen met het project dan anderen."

Het Amerikaanse team heeft namelijk al heel erg veel geïnvesteerd in het nieuwe seizoen: "We hebben het leeuwendeel van ons budget van dit jaar uitgegeven aan de auto voor volgend seizoen. Dus hopelijk geeft dat ons een kleine voorsprong. Hopelijk kunnen we regelmatig op het podium eindigen, dat zal een enorme stap voorwaarts zijn. Ik ga er heel hard aanwerken om dat voor elkaar te krijgen."
