Räikkönen vindt veel meer grip: "Moeten we ons op aanpassen"

Kimi Räikkönen had een succesvol weekend in Rusland. De afzwaaiende Fin van Alfa Romeo hoopt daar in Turkije vanzelfsprekend een vervolg aan te geven. In de trainingen kwam hij echter niet verder dan een zestiende en een vijftiende plek.

Op de site van zijn team Alfa Romeo is 'The Iceman' toch positief gestemd: "Er zit een hele hoop potentie in de auto en dat moeten we vanavond vrijspelen. In de eerste sessie hadden we wat problemen met de balans. Dus er is zeker wat werk te doen, maar we hebben er vertrouwen in dat we dat deze nacht kunnen oplossen."

Zoals zovelen vond ook Räikkönen veel meer grip op de baan dan vorig jaar. Hij weet dan ook wat hem en zijn collega's te doen staat: "Er is veel meer grip dan wij verwacht hadden dus we moeten ons aanpassen aan die omstandigheden en dan zien we wel waar we in de kwalificatie gaan eindigen."
