FIA in beraad over derde vrije training: veel regen op komst

De organisatie van de Grand Prix van Turkije, de stewards en de FIA hebben een drukke ochtend. De groep moet namelijk een beslissing gaan nemen over het doorgaan van de derde vrije training.

Op het circuit wordt 80 procent regen verwacht. Regenbanden werden gisteren al toegewezen aan de teams. De coureurs hebben in de driversmeeting laten weten, dat de FIA een veilig besluit moet nemen en niet te twijfelachtig. Tijdens de kwalificatie zal de regen afnemen.

Gooi die regenbanden maar gewoon gelijk in de prullenbak. en zeg gewoon voor het seizoen begint: Als het regent racen we niet, dat bespaard een hoop gedoe.

    Dus in vedergeval geen droge Q! Mocht Max nog problemen hebben met de balans zoals gisteren het geval was, spelen die in natte condities iets minder een uitdaging.

    Het nat vraagt meer van de rijders dus ik ben benieuwd naar welke grid dit gaat opleveren!

      juist niet. als je al onbalans hebt dan maakt het regen juist nog moeilijker om grip te vinden. de auto wordt nog moeilijker te besturen met overstuur en onderstuur.

      @Petertje jij begrijpt er dus helemaal niets van. Balansproblemen worden vooral veroorzaakt door verschillen in de grip levels van voor en achter. Op een natte baan komen die grip levels juist naar elkaar toe; zowel voor als achter richting de nul.

      80% van de dagelijkse hoeveelheid neerslag ter wereld denk ik.
      Dat is ongeveer 4207 kuub water per vierkante meter.
      De vraag is meer in welke tijdsspanne dit zal gaan vallen.
      Persoonlijk zou ik.alvast naar het hoogstgelegen punt gaan en daar een ark gaan bouwen.
      Ik snap het probleem dus wel.

      Klus, de regenband voert bij een snelheid van 300km/u tot 80 liter water per seconde af. Dat is enorm. Wat moet die band nog meer kunnen om wat jou betreft een regenband te mogen heten?

      Het probleem is waar die 80L heen wordt gesmeten. Dat die auto's op de baan kunnen blijven met de vochtige banen is mij volledig duidelijk, dat 80L in de lucht smijten leidt tot bijna geen zichtbaarheid is een probleem van 'te goede regenbanden'.

    Nergens is te lezen dat de FIA in beraad is over VT3.
    Iedereen is druk bezig in de garages om de wagens klaar te maken.
    Iedereen heeft gisteren al een extra setje Inters gekregen.
