Pitcomplex Singapore dient als corona-ziekenhuis

De coronacrisis heeft de wereld nog steeds in zijn greep. Ook de Formule 1 heeft het afgelopen anderhalf jaar hinder ondervonden van het virus. Zo kunnen veel races al twee jaar op rij niet worden verreden. Gelukkig staan de faciliteiten niet te verstoffen en worden ze nuttig gebruikt.

De Grand Prix van Singapore is zo'n race die al twee jaar op rij is afgelast. Het stratencircuit in de Aziatische stadstaat is door COVID-19 al twee jaar niet gebruikt. Het pitcomplex wordt daarentegen wel gebruikt op een zeer nuttige manier.

Het pitgebouw van het Marina Bay Circuit wordt namelijk gebruikt als tijdelijk ziekenhuis voor COVID-patiënten. Waar normaal journalisten zaten te werken of vips een drankje dronken staan nu ziekenhuisbedden. Het is niet voor het eerst dat dit het geval is, vorig jaar was het complex ook al een tijdelijk ziekenhuis. Ook andere Formule 1-circuits zijn in het afgelopen jaar ingezet als tijdelijk ziekenhuis of vaccinatie locatie.

    Lijkt me nogal vanzelfsprekend dat je je capaciteit opschroeft als deze onvoldoende blijkt. Daar heeft die regering anderhalf jaar de tijd voor gehad. Ze hadden naar Nederland moeten kijken en voorbeeld aan moeten nemen. Wij zijn meteen aan de slag gegaan om 5.000 extra man aan verplegend personeel op te leiden. Zo investeer je in gezondheid!

      Dat heeft me ook verbaasd, excuus vorige jaar was de opleiden van nieuw zorgpersoneel tijd kost.
      Nu zijn we 1,5 jaar verder , maar er is helemaal niets gebeurd.
      Hopelijk gaan ze het nu inzien , want zo te zien zal Covid blijven.

      Het opleiden van gekwalificeerd IC-verpleegkundigen kost ook een hoop tijd.... De reguliere opleiding kost 6 jaar namelijk!!! Misschien dat je in extreme situaties zoals deze crisis je het kunt versnellen naar 4 of 5 jaar, maar IC-verpleegkundige ben je niet zomaar..... Een reguliere verpleegkundige opleiding kost ook 4 jaar en we zitten nu 1 jaar en 8 maanden in deze crisis, hoe denk je goede verpleegkundigen op te leiden in deze korte tijd????
      BOA's zijn sneller op te leiden.... En daarbij zijn er zeker geen 5000 BOA's opgeleid.... Lekker weer het verdraaien van de feiten..... Tsssssss
