In de openingsronde van de Mexicaanse Grand Prix zijn er al een aantal uitvallers. Valtteri Bottas kreeg van Daniel Ricciardo een tikje, hierdoor spinde de Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton moet achter Verstappen aan, want die pakte de leiding geweldig over. Mick Schumacher viel ook uit door de crash in de eerste ronde, evenals Yuki Tsunoda.
