Gasly kijkt uit naar Qatar-debuut: "Op de sim ziet het er interessant uit"

Aankomend weekend staat er voor het eerst de Grand Prix van Qatar op het programma. De heren coureurs zullen voor het eerst hun rondjes gaan rijden op Losail. Veel van de huidige coureurs hebben nog nooit geracet op de baan in het Midden-Oosten.

Ook AlphaTauri-coureur Pierre Gasly heeft nog nooit op het circuit gereden. De Fransman heeft in ieder geval zijn best gedaan om de baan te leren kennen. Op de site van zijn team spreekt hij zich uit: "Ik heb de baan in Qatar op de simulator gereden en ik heb alle MotoGP races gekeken."

De simulator-rondjes hebben er in ieder geval voor gezorgd dat Gasly er zin in heeft: "Op de sim ziet het er heel erg interessant uit. Dit omdat het erop lijkt dat er veel high speed bochten zijn en ik denk ook dat het fysiek veeleisend gaat worden door alle high speed-secties."
