Meerdere coureurs op het matje geroepen door stewards na chaotische Q2-slotfase

Het tweede deel van de kwalificatie in Abu Dhabi verliep nogal rommelig. Veel coureurs wilden verkeer vermijden waardoor ze besloten om heel erg langzaam te gaan rijden. Hierdoor werden er zelfs gele vlaggen gezwaaid omdat de situatie zo enorm gevaarlijk en bijzonder werd.

De stewards hebben na afloop van de kwalificatie dan ook ingegrepen. Ze hebben zichzelf een drukke avond verschaft. Meerdere coureurs moeten op het matje komen om zich te verantwoorden voor de chaotische situatie in de laatste sector van het Yas Marina Circuit.

Sebastian Vettel, Pierre Gasly, Daniel Ricciardo en Fernando Alonso mogen op de thee komen bij de stewards. Ze moeten zich allemaal verantwoorden voor het mogelijk hinderen van andere coureurs. Vettel stond zo goed als stil op de baan en Ricciardo kreeg een scheldpartij van Alonso om zijn oren. De coureurs kunnen mogelijk tegen een gridstraf aanlopen in de laatste race van het seizoen.
