Mick Schumacher kende niet bepaald een succesvol debuutseizoen. De Duitser wist afgelopen seizoen geen enkel punt te scoren in zijn Haas. Toch was hij vrijwel altijd sneller dan zijn teamgenoot Nikita Mazepin. Zijn jaar kende één bijzonder hoogtepunt waaraan hij nog vaak aan zal terugdenken.

Schumacher mocht namelijk in de debuutwagen van zijn legendarische vader Michael rijden. Hij reed enkele rondjes in de prachtige groene Jordan waarmee zijn vader in 1991 debuteerde op Spa. Hij kreeg veel adviezen mee van zijn vriend Sebastian Vettel.
