Video: Aston Martin deelt update van bouwwerkzaamheden

Het is overduidelijk dat de ambities bij Aston Martin torenhoog zijn. De Britse renstal wil heel graag meevechten voor de bovenste plaatsen, al lukt dat niet echt in 2021. Ook naast de baan zijn de ambities van het team duidelijk zichtbaar, ze doen er alles aan om als een topteam over te komen.

Het team is namelijk begonnen aan de bouw van een nieuwe megaproject: een gloednieuwe fabriek. De campus wordt uit de grond gestapt en de ploeg van Lawrence Stroll is heel erg trots op de werkzaamheden. Op social media delen ze een timelapse waarin te zien is dat de werkzaamheden al aardig opschieten.

      4,5 uur na plaatsing heeft de schrijvert zijn fout nog steeds niet hersteld...

    Komt hier enkel de F1 divisie?

    Poh wat een vierkante meters. Dat fabriekje van haas past hier wel 4x in.

    Misschien ook maar dit soort joekels in Nederland neerzetten als een revolutionaire oplossing voor het woning te kort. Als ik wakker wordt zie ik graag een F1 auto in de tussenhal.

      Het is in principe alleen voor de F1 tak bedoelt ja. Er komt ook een eigen windtunnelcomplex, conferentieruimtes én een soort 'Heritage Hal' met oude AM modellen. Maar zelfs dan is het nog op een voor F1 ongekende schaal qua grootte.

      Aston Martin is alleen het F1 team. Het automerk is een compleet ander bedrijf. Lawrence Stroll heeft daar flink wat aandelen, maar het F1 team is zijn privebezit, en hij gebruikt Aston Martin als naamsponsor. De twee hebben verder helemaal niets met elkaar te maken. Dit is niet 'het raceteam van de autofabrikant Aston Martin'. Ze hebben net zo veel met elkaar te maken als Aston Martin met Red Bull te maken had, of Sauber met Alfa Romeo.

    Maar de Berta’s en Klara’s van Aston Martin zullen weinig melk produceren als die enge witte mannetjes rondjes om hun stal blijven rennen...
