Räikkönen haalt uit naar de hoge heren: "Formule 1 niet geïnteresseerd in onze mening"

Kimi Räikkönen is inmiddels al weer bijna een maand met pensioen. De Fin hing na de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi zijn helm aan de wilgen en houdt zich sindsdien bezig met hele andere dingen dan racen. De enkelvoudig wereldkampioen is tegenwoordig meer te vinden in zijn tuin dan op het circuit maar dat betekent niet dat hij niets meer van zich laat horen.

Räikkönen kende een zeer lange Formule 1-loopbaan. Hij debuteerde in 2001 in de koningsklasse van de autosport en maakte meerdere tijdperken mee in de sport. Hij streed zelf vaak mee om de overwinningen en beloonde zichzelf in 2007 met de wereldtitel. Vroeger was de concurrentie veel groter en dat valt de Fin ook op.

Casino

De Fin merkt op dat de sport is veranderd en hij deelt dat gretig met de buitenwereld. In gesprek met het Duitse Sport Bild doet hij zijn ontboezemingen: "Vroeger was elke race een soort gokken in het casino. Je wist nooit wat je die dag kon bereiken. Je wist ook niet of je de finishlijn wel zou passeren. Maar het maakt helemaal niets uit of je de ontwikkelingen leuk vindt of niet."

Werknemers

Räikkönen laat blijken over het algemeen geen fan te zijn van de huidige cultuur binnen de sport. Hij was dan wel één van de sterren van de sport maar er werd niet naar hem geluisterd. "Wij coureurs maken de regels niet en we beslissen ook niet waar we racen. We zijn gewoon werknemers van de teams, net als de monteurs. De Formule 1 is niet geïnteresseerd in onze mening."

Grootheidswaanzin hebben sommige van die f1 coureurs wel beetje last van zeg.

  Ik snap Kimi wel, tegenwoordig gaat het om heel veel geld dus het gaat erom wat de meeste kijkers treks (lees) geld oplevert dus inderdaad minder de mening van coureurs en minder teams.. jammergenoeg.
  
  Wanneer een coureur of team veel kijkers/geld genereerd hebben zij een pre.

Zal niet meevallen denk, in Finland schijnt de zon nog niet eens, komt nog wel, maar nu nog niet.
