Lewis Hamilton wint prestigieuze Britse autosportprijs

Lewis Hamilton verloor vorig jaar de wereldtitel op het allerlaatste moment aan Max Verstappen. De Brit droop daarna teleurgesteld af en heeft sindsdien niets meer van zich horen. Dat betekent niet dat hij geen waardering krijgt voor zijn prestaties. In zijn thuisland Groot-Brittannië kan hij nog steeds rekenen op veel lof.

De Mercedes-coureur wordt dan ook veelvuldig beloond met enkele prestigieuze prijzen. Tijdens de 'Night of the Champions' van Motorsport UK kreeg hij een belangrijke Britse autosportprijs. Hij werd uitgeroepen tot de winnaar van de Hawthorn Memorial Trophy. Deze prijs is vernoemd naar Mike Hawthorn, de eerste Britse wereldkampioen Formule 1.

Hamilton won de award voor de achtste (!) keer op rij en de elfde keer in totaal. Hij verslaat hiermee Nigel Mansell, de besnorde legende won de prijs zeven keer. Hamilton zelf kwam overigens niet opdagen bij de awardshow. De Brit zwijgt nog steeds en verschijnt amper in het openbaar.

    Wel frappant dat hij de prijs 2 keer kreeg terwijl hij 2e werd in het wdc.
    Zeker het jaar waarin Nico won was het voor Lewis niet echt een top jaar.

    Blijkbaar realiseert de Sir niet dat hij 100% van zijn rijkdom en roem (voor hem mega-belangrijk schat ik in) te danken heeft aan het volk/publiek/toeschouwers/fans.
    Want om zoveel schijt te hebben en al ruim een maand die stilte te bewaren, getuigd toch van zoveel arrogantie en een Godsbeeld van hemzelf.
    Gelukkig heeft ie wel 'God is love' in zijn nek staan, hopelijk is 'zijn vader' hem goed gezind.

      Niemand, echt niemand komt ook maar iets in de buurt van WK Kantklos-legende tante Agaath uit Warmetuut, behalve haar voorgangster en Tante Cornelia, befaamd vanwege het naar haar vernoemde “Tante Cornelia Kantklos Patroon”.
