Ferrari past privétest aan door onduidelijke regels

Gisteren kwam naar buiten dat de Ferrari-coureurs deze week al de baan op gaan voor een privétest. Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc en reservecoureur Robert Shwartzman zullen een vierdaagse testweek afwerken op Fiorano, het privécircuit van Ferrari. De plannen leken in kannen en kruiken maar op het allerlaatste moment kwam er toch nog een kink in de kabel.

De Italiaanse ploeg was namelijk van plan om de test af te werken met de SF21, de wagen waarmee men afgelopen seizoen racete. Op het allerlaatste moment hebben ze hier echter een verandering doorgevoerd. Shwartzman zat bij de eerste test namelijk achter het stuur van de SF71H, de auto uit 2018.

Veranderingen

Deze aanpassing had een duidelijk reden. Ferrari gaf aan dat dit alles te maken had met de onduidelijkheid omtrent het testen met oude auto's. Het is namelijk zeer onduidelijk of de teams wel zo'n test mogen afwerken met een auto waarmee men vorige seizoen aan de start stond. De teams willen veranderingen zien maar deze zijn nog niet goedgekeurd door de World Motor Sport Council.

Reglementen

Volgens de huidige regels is het namelijk zo dat men niet mag testen met de 2021-bolide. De auto valt onder de reglementen van het testen met huidige auto's. De teams mogen deze niet gebruiken voor tests als het gaat om een auto die is ontworpen volgens de technische regels van het jaar ervoor of erna. Men mag wel testen in een auto die is ontworpen naar de regels van de drie kalenderjaren voorafgaand het huidige kampioenschap. Dat betekent dat men mag testen in auto's uit 2018,2019 en 2020.

Die regels .. Pfff. Ik zou ze zelfs laten testen met de nieuwe bolide! (the faster the better)
Je hebt toch niets aan een wagen van drie jaren geleden, toen 'alles' anders was...
Maar ik zei het eerder al : "Je hebt een advocaat nodig om de regelgeving in de F1 te doorgronden!"
Er is geen enkele sport waar er zoveel onduidelijkheden zijn.

  Dat is nu juist de rede dat het niet mag.
  
  Kleinere teams hebben het geld niet omvatte doen.
  
  Dus testen mag maar je mag er geen voordeel mee doen voor het nieuwe of lopende seizoen
