Ferrari deelt beelden van privétest

Ferrari is na enige verwarrende momenten deze week begonnen met hun privétest. Coureurs Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz en reserve Robert Shwartzman maken deze week meters op Fiorano, het privécircuit van het team. Dinsdag begon men met testen maar nu deelt het team voor het eerst beelden van de test.

Shwartzman werkte dinsdag als eerste een test af in Italië. De jeugdige Rus reed zijn rondjes in de SH71H uit 2018. De auto was uitgerust met de stickers van de nieuwe sponsors voor aankomend seizoen. Het is nog niet duidelijk of deze test-livery een beeld schetst van de kleurstelling waarmee het team gaat rijden in 2022.

Sainz kreeg vandaag de eer om de baan op te gaan. De Spanjaard kroop al vroeg achter het stuur van de SF71H om zich zo goed mogelijk voor te bereiden op het aankomende seizoen.

Sainz en Leclerc zullen dit jaar een gooi gaan doen naar overwinningen. De Italiaanse renstal was de afgelopen twee jaar flink afgegleden en ze willen dan ook sportief revanche nemen. Ferrari is al geruime tijd bezig met het ontwikkelingen voor het aankomende seizoen, er gaan immers compleet nieuwe reglementen in.

Vraag me af wat het nut is om nu te testen met een 2018 auto. Het enige wat ik kan bedenken is om weer aan de snelheid te wennen, welke volgens mij nog niet weg is, en ook zo weer terug is.
