W Series slaan Zandvoort over in 2022, wel naar Miami en Suzuka

Ook in 2022 zal de W Series weer rijden in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1. De opleidingsklasse speciaal voor vrouwen was ook vorig jaar een van de supportseries van de koningsklasse van de autosport. Nu is duidelijk geworden tijdens welke races de dames in het voorprogramma zullen rijden.

De W Series-kalender voor dit jaar kent in totaal acht raceweekenden. Ook dit jaar schrijft de sport weer historie door voor het eerst in de geschiedenis van de klasse te gaan racen in Azië. De dames zullen namelijk hun kunsten vertonen op het circuit van Suzuka tijdens het Grand Prix-weekend.

De Nederlandse W Series-fan zal de vrouwen niet in eigen land kunnen bewonderen. De klasse slaat dit jaar Zandvoort over maar gaat in Europa wel racen in Silverstone, Paul Ricard, Barcelona en Hongarije. Ze trappen het seizoen af in Miami tijdens het eerste Formule 1-weekend ooit in die stad. Ook rijdt de klasse in het voorprogramma tijdens de Grands Prix van de Verenigde Staten en Mexico.

      @Ouw is gespot met een tandem fiets. Probleem is echter dat hij een trio wilde en een stang is verdwenen. Ons correspondent @Dick de Cock is dit weekend ter plaatse, om poolsstok te nemen.
