Capelli blij dat Ferrari geen kopman kiest: "Hiërarchie ontstaat tijdens seizoen"

Het team van Ferrari wil aankomend seizoen toeslaan. De Italiaanse ploeg heeft enkele jammerlijke jaren achter de rug en wil dit seizoen terugkeren aan de top. Ze willen profiteren van de nieuwe reglementen die aankomend seizoen ingaan, ze zijn dan ook al zeer vroeg begonnen met de ontwikkelingen voor het aankomende seizoen.

Aan de coureurs zal het aankomend seizoen in ieder geval niet liggen. Charles Leclerc en Carlos Sainz zijn aangebleven en zo vormen een waar powerkoppel. Een hiërarchie lijkt echter compleet te ontbreken, de twee ontliepen elkaar in 2021 nauwelijks en Sainz kwam uiteindelijk als winnaar uit de bus. Dat was opvallend aangezien het voor Sainz zijn eerste Ferrari-jaar was.

Druk

Het was een hard gelag van Leclerc maar aankomend seizoen zal alles zijn. Oud-coureur Ivan Capelli denkt wel te weten waarom Leclerc ineens teleurstelde. De Italiaan ,die in 1992 voor Ferrari reed, spreekt zich uit in de Gazzetta dello Sport: "Charles is sneller over een vliegend rondje. Vorig jaar verwachtte men dat hij meer een leider zou zijn maar daar slaagde hij niet altijd in. Tijdens zijn eerdere jaren naast Vettel vroeg niemand daar om. Druk op je schouders, dat maakt een verschil."

Brits

Capelli vindt het dan ook goed dat Ferrari geen kopman heeft aangewezen voor het aankomende seizoen. De Italiaan loopt al eventjes mee en ziet dat andere teams in het verleden ook al voor deze aanpak kozen. 'Wij Italianen geloven in hiërarchie. Maar de Britse teams hebben al eerder bewezen dat je twee sterren naast elkaar kan zetten, denk aan Senna en Prost en Mansell en Piquet. Dan wordt de hiërarchie tijdens het seizoen gecreëerd.

    Druk op de schouders en ook vermoed ik dat Charles zijn nieuwe teamgenoot misschien wat onderschat heeft. Eens met Capelli dat het mooier is om die jongens onder elkaar te laten uitmaken wie de sterkste is in plaats van op voorhand ingrijpen. Maar wel zaak dat de teamleiding ervoor zorgt dat de boel niet gaat ontsporen met 2 van die egootjes in het team, elkaar dwarszitten is wel het laatste wat ze moeten doen.

      Vermoed dat zoiets pas zal/kan gebeuren als Ferrari een top-auto heeft waarmee de boys om de WK-titel kunnen strijden.

      Misschien is dat dit seizoen het geval, blijft afwachten...

    Voorafgaand aan vorig jaar was er ook al geen leider aangewezen door Binotto en dat ging prima. Dus in beginsel een prima idee om het dit jaar weer zo te gaan doen.

      Nee, wie dat ding naar de titel rijdt is bijzaak. Als het maar een Ferrari is. Verstappen fans snappen daar volgens mij helemaal niks van. Maar Ferrarifans boeit het echt niet wie er rijdt.

      @Redcarsmatter: Ik zelf ga er trouwens wel van uit dat dat dan Leclerc gaat zijn hoor. Als Ferrari echt met een topauto komt kan hij zijn snelheid ook beter laten zien en ik denk niet dat Sainz dan kan volgen.

      Ik blijf ook een Leclerc-believer. Sainz noemde ik twee jaar terug nog de Spaanse Hulkenbergh. Na 2021 misschien wat te ontkrachten. Maar zoals je al schreef, de titel is het belangrijkste, wie het doet blijft bijzaak.

    Die pannenkoek van een leclerc
    plakt toch weer 7 keer dit jaar tegen de muur en zal weer aan de velgen liggen of meer vermogen of wat dan ook
    Zet maar gerust ne lando of ene ocon in de rooie en ge gaat wat zien wat onze Charles waard is
