Ralf Schumacher plaats nog steeds vraagtekens bij Mazepin: "Geen idee of hij de juiste persoon is"

Het team van Haas wil aankomend seizoen terugslaan na een rampzalig 2021. De Amerikaanse renstal kon met Mick Schumacher en Nikita Mazepin geen potten breken en men aast dan ook op revanche. De ontwikkelingen voor de aankomende bolide zijn al geruime tijd stevig aan de gang.

Zowel Schumacher al Mazepin debuteerden afgelopen seizoen in de koningsklasse van de autosport. Het duo moest overduidelijk nog veel leren en ze stonden dan ook regelmatig met fikse schade in de bandenstapels. Vooral Mazepin kreeg de nodige kritiek op zijn dak. De jonge Russische coureur staat dan ook onder hoogspanning.

Leider

Aankomend seizoen wordt het seizoen van de waarheid voor Haas want het scoren van punten wordt zeer belangrijk. Voormalig coureur ,en oom van Mick, Ralf Schumacher weet dat het team op een belangrijk punt staat. In gesprek met Motorsport-Total is hij duidelijk over de kansen van zijn neef: “Het team moet nu een basis voor hem creëren zodat hij punten kan scoren. Het hangt er dan ook nog eens vanaf van wat Mick uit de situatie haalt.”

Schumacher was vorig seizoen vrijwel altijd sneller dan zijn Russische teamgenoot. Zijn oom Ralf zag dit en hij denkt dan ook dat Mick in zijn eentje de kar moet gaan trekken. “Hij rijdt momenteel een beetje in zijn eentje rond. Hij is dan nog wel jong van leeftijd, hij moet wel de ontwikkelingen van het team leiden en hij moet beslissingen maken.”

Mazepin

Ralf heeft geen hoge hoed op van Micks teamgenoot Mazepin. Tijdens het afgelopen seizoen liet hij dat al meermaals blijken. Ook nu is hij in aanloop naar het nieuwe seizoen kritisch: “Ik heb geen idee of hij de juiste persoon is die kan helpen bij het ontwikkelen van een nieuwe auto van een pionierend team.”

Als voorzitter van de Mazepin fanclub snap ik nog steeds niet waarom ome Ralf altijd moet afgeven op de Tsaar. Zonder de Tsaar, had neefje lief geen stoeltje in de Formule 1 gehad. En zonder Nikita waren we er ook nooit zo snel achter gekomen hoe ongelooflijk overrated neefje Mick is.

  Ik als ere lid van de Mazepin fanclub, begin een gloeiende hekel aan de heer R.Schumacher te krijgen. Ons Mickje heeft alles te danken aan Nikita en het kon wel eens zo zijn dat Mick qua kosten, meer schade heeft gereden dan ons Nikita. Bovendien komt Nikita een stuk puurder en echter op mij over!

Ralf moet eens stoppen om z'n neefje te promoten over het hoofd van Mazepin heen. Als z'n neefje echt zo goed was had hij hem niet hoeven te vergelijken met Mazepin. Het is gewoon een slap aftreksel van z'n vader en is goed in het afschrijven van auto's.

Is sowieso een vreemde hobby van Ralf: het continu plaatsen van vraagtekens. Mij lukt het in ieder geval niet, want die dingen vallen altijd om door die halve boog aan de bovenkant en dat iebele puntje onderaan...
