Probeert Alfa Romeo iets geheim te houden voor de buitenwereld?

Het team van Alfa Romeo is redelijk een vreemde eend in de bijt in Barcelona. De Zwitserse renstal heeft als enige de nieuwe wagen nog niet officieel gepresenteerd en daarnaast rijdt men ook rondjes in een geheimzinnige camouflage-kleurstelling. De ploeg lijkt zich in nevelen te willen hullen tijdens de eerste testweek.

Alles is dit jaar anders bij de ploeg, vooral op het gebied van coureurs is er veel veranderd. Kimi Räikkönen en Antonio Giovinazzi zijn vertrokken en vervangen door Valtteri Bottas en debutant Guanyu Zhou. Opvallend genoeg komt nieuwkomer Zhou morgen pas voor het eerst in actie, reservecoureur Robert Kubica mocht gisteren de testweek aftrappen. Dit is echter niet de enige bijzondere daad van de Zwitserse ploeg.

Verbergen

Het lijkt er namelijk op dan Alfa Romeo er alles aan doet om iets te verbergen. Ze rijden immers rond in camouflagekleuren maar dat is niet het enige geheimzinnige punt. Volgens fotografen van het Duitse Auto, Motor und Sport vormen de Alfa-monteurs een menselijke muur om de auto heen zodra deze binnen staat. Volgens de AMuS-fotografen is Alfa Romeo het enige team dat op deze manier te werk gaat. Het lijkt er dus op dat men iets probeert te verbergen voor de buitenwereld.

Misère

Vooralsnog heeft men de mogelijke slimmigheid nog niet echt kunnen uittesten. Alfa Romeo kent momenteel een rampzalige start van de eerste testweek. Gisteren stonden ze meer binnen dan ze op de baan reden en ook vandaag is er misère in overvloed. Bottas stapte vandaag in maar hij moest vooral wachten. Er waren weer problemen met de bolide waardoor hij maar zeer weinig meters kon maken op het circuit.
