Team Lotus gebruikt volgend jaar KERS van Red Bull Racing

Team Lotus intensiveert de samenwerking met Red Bull Racing voor 2012. De Maleisische renstal ontvangt al hydraulica en versnellingsbakken van de constructeurskampioen en daar komt volgend jaar het energie hergebruikende KERS bij.

Turun Sanomat bericht dat Team Lotus vanaf volgend seizoen met het KERS dat Magnetti Marelli met Renault en Red Bull Racing heeft ontwikkeld rijdt. Teambaas Tony Fernandes: Klopt, we hebben een akkoord met Red Bull Racing over de levering van KERS. Een opvallende keuze gezien alle problemen die Red Bull Racing dit jaar met KERS ervaart.
