Afgelopen jaar experimenteerde men in de Formule 1 voor het eerst met de helmet-cam. Via dit camerastandpunt konden de fans thuis op de bank meekijken met de actie vanuit het perspectief van de coureurs. De helmet-cam werd tijdens een aantal races ingezet maar lijkt nu op weg naar een comeback.

Tijdens de eerste testweek in Barcelona werd er namelijk weer gebruik gemaakt van het camerastandpunt. Williams-coureur Nicholas Latifi reed ronde met de camera en dat geeft een interessant beeld. Voor het eerst kan de buitenwereld nu namelijk meekijken vanuit de cockpit van een gloednieuwe wagen onder de nieuwe reglementen.
