Ferrari doneert megabedrag aan slachtoffers Oekraïne

De huidige oorlog in Oekraïne is ook in de autosportwereld het gesprek van de dag. De Formule 1 en autosportfederatie FIA hebben de nodige sancties ingesteld en dat heeft consequenties voor Russische teams en coureurs. Daarnaast steunt men ook de slachtoffers van de oorlog in Oekraïne.

Het team van Ferrari laat er geen gras over groeien. De legendarische Italiaanse renstal heeft besloten om een megabedrag te doneren voor de slachtoffers in Oekraïne. In een statement maakt Ferrari bekend dat ze 1 miljoen euro overmaken om humanitaire projecten voor de Oekraïners. De renstal gaat hiervoor samenwerken met het Rode Kruis en UNHCR. Daarnaast stopt men ook met het leveren van nieuwe auto's aan Russen.

De situatie in Oekraïne gaat de kopstukken van Ferrari aan het hart. In het statement spreekt Ferrari-CEO Benedetto Vigna zich op duidelijke wijze uit: "Ferrari steunt iedereen die is getroffen door deze humanitaire ramp in Oekraïne. We hopen dat er snel een dialoog komt en we hopen op een vredige oplossing. Onze support en gedachtes gaan uit naar hen. We spelen slechts een kleine rol naast de instanties die voor directe oplossingen zorgen in deze situatie."

      Top actie en duidelijk statement. Wel schromelijk overdreven hier met dat ‘mega’ bedrag. Natuurlijk is het fors en top dat ze het doen, maar bijvoorbeeld de Schwarze Gruppe (o.a. Lidl en Kaufland) doneren voor €10M aan goederen. Heineken heeft overigens ook ‘maar’ €1M gedoneerd. Begrijp me niet verkeerd, top dat ze het doen en elke euro lijkt me welkom, maar ‘Mega’ zijn dergelijk bedragen naar mijn mening niet
