Hamilton oogst complimenten met omgang met fans

Lewis Hamilton heeft wereldwijd een reusachtige fanbase. De Britse zevenvoudige wereldkampioen probeert een zo goed mogelijke band te onderhouden met zijn supporters. De Mercedes-coureur gaat dan ook liefdevol om met zijn achterban en dat wordt met enige regelmaat duidelijk. Ook nu gaat er weer een ontroerend filmpje rond.

Op een video is te zien dat Hamilton ergens op bezoek komt. Voor de ingang van het gebouw staan de nodige fans te wachten, één daarvan heeft een presentje meegenomen voor de Brit. Een vrouwelijke fan heeft een reusachtig schilderij gemaakt van Hamilton. De Brit zelf is helemaal overdonderd als hij het doek ziet. Hij is dan ook nog blijer als hij hoort dat het schilderij voor hem is.

    Ondanks dat ik de opmerkingen van Lewis over de fans altijd met een korreltje zout neem, vind ik dit wel een mooie reactie van hem. Op de een of andere wijze weet hij toch een hoop mensen achter zich te krijgen. Mooi om te zien.

    Ik ken veel mensen die fan waren en zijn van Hamilton, de ene vind het overdreven geweldig en de ander is er steeds meer van gaan walgen. Wat mij wel erg is opgevallen is dat steeds meer van zijn fans hem fake zijn gaan vinden en afgelopen jaar heeft hij ook fans verloren door zijn gedrag. Deels zal het vanwege Verstappen komen en grotendeels door zijn fake gedrag. Hij weet op PR vlak heel goed, dat moet ik hem geven. Maar hij komt ook vaak te voor ingestudeerd over en dat maakt hem fake en mensen prikken daar doorheen.

      De coureur Hamilton zou ik wel missen, maar de hele poppenkast om zijn persoon heen, zou ik geen moment missen. Het lijkt elk seizoen wel erger te worden. Wat dat betreft zou het niet erg zijn als het seizoen eens een keertje niet om Hamilton en Mercedes draait.
      Misschien dat men dan weer een beetje normaal gaat doen.

      Het is sinds het Mercedes tijdperk dat ie onwijs nep en zielig begon te doen. Als hij dan ineens een spontane reactie geeft zoals hier, of met bv de Senna helm. Ja, dan valt dat ook direct op dat de rest èèn grote poppenkast is.

      Ik ken helemaal geen Hamilton fan. Wel een aantal echte Ferrari fans, waarvan er een paar echt niets van Leclerc moeten hebben. De rest is allemaal Verstappen fan.

      Dat van Leclerc vind ik erg apart eigenlijk. Is gewoon voor een F1 rijder sympathiek en daarnaast erg goed.

      Maar Hamilton fans duiken tijdens de races wel overal op. Is dus niet vreemd dat er een paar hem op staan te wachten.

      Kijk voor de grap de eerste jaren van Hamilton in de F1 eens terug, dan zie je wat voor een fijne vent het was. Lewis zijn roem is hem naar zijn hoofd gestegen en hij is zwaar naast zijn schoenen gaan lopen, er is niks echt meer aan hem als je hem vergelijkt met de Lewis uit 2007.

      Helemaal met je mee eens. Lewis begon zich 'eigenaardig' te gedragen vanaf het moment dat hij een relatie aanging met Nicole Scherzinger van de Pussycat Dolls.

    Hamilton is kandidaat om ereburger van Brazilië te worden las ik net. (ivm zijn bewondering voor Senna)
    Nu begrijp ik waarom hij zo hartstochtelijk werd toegejuicht en Max zo werd uitgefloten tijdens de GP vorig jaar wat wel heel opvallend was.
