Teams bekijken opties voor terugkeer van testsessies tijdens seizoen

Mogelijk kunnen de Formule 1-teams in de toekomst weer tijdens het seizoen gaan testen. Bij een bijeenkomst van de Sporting Working Group in Silverstone werd er gesproken over deze mogelijkheid. Er is nog geen stemming geweest, maar volgens Sam Michael zijn er enkele voorstellen gedaan door de teams.

FIA-president Jean Todt liet tijdens de Grand Prix van Turkije al weten dat hij open staat voor een terugkeer van het 'in-season testing'. Destijds waren de teams echter bang dat hiermee de kosten verder zouden worden opgedreven in een tijd waarin de budgetten en vooral de uitgaven van de teams goed in de gaten worden gehouden. Echter, tijdens een bijeenkomst van de Sporting Working Group zijn er door teams enkele voorstellen gedaan.

"Het idee wordt op dit moment bekeken in de Sporting Working Group en we hadden er in Silverstone een vergadering over", vertelde Williams' technisch directeur Sam Michael. "We hebben gewoon wat ideeën op tafel gegooid en daarbij is ook de mogelijkheid voorbij gekomen om tijdens het seizoen een extra Young Driver Test te plannen."

"Er is vooralsnog alleen maar over gesproken en er zijn geen overeenkomsten getekend of stemrondes geweest. Alle teams nemen dit nu intern in beraad en verder hebben we nog niks gedaan of besloten."

Jean Todt verklaarde eerder dit jaar tijdens het raceweekend in Turkije: "Ik vind het belachelijk dat teams geen enkele keer meer mogen testen op het moment dat het seizoen onderweg is. We moeten het testen tijdens het seizoen aan banden leggen, want zoveel testen als ze maar willen is ook niet de juiste oplossing. Dit hebben we in het verleden al gezien."

"We zullen proberen om enkele testdagen tijdens het seizoen in te voeren."

Gewoon testen na de Grandpix, dat is financieel het goedkoopst. We hebben 20 races, gewoon 3 keer jaar na een Grandprix in Europa testen dan zijn de GP2 rijders er ook. En alleen toegankelijk maken voor rookies en vrijdagrijders/testrijders.

  Het lijkt mij inderdaad een prima oplossing om na drie of vier races te testen. Deze sessies zouden dan natuurlijk wel daadwerkelijk wat op moeten leveren. Als een team dan liever een ervaren rijder gebruikt in plaats van een rookie, vind ik dat hun goed recht.

  Lijkt mij een uitstekend idee! Laat ze na de Grand Prix mar gerust een week lang in Spa blijven. En maak het circuit tijdens die testdagen dan ook tegen een voordelig tarief toegankelijk voor de fans.

Laat ze maar testen. Tenminste weer een extra mogelijkheid voor mij om naar de Formule 1 te gaan behalve een aantal Grand Prix\'s in Europa!!!

Nu nog de V10, kwalificatie motor, ongelimiteerde rpm, tankstops vrijgeven dan gaat het helemaal goedkomen. En dat achterlijke kers en DRS systeem meteen de ruimte inschieten. De FIA haar bevoegdheden inperken is ook wel iets.

zou hoog tijd worden.. gewoon 1 of 2 x testen tijden het seizoen zou goed helpen...

Daardoor kunnen de teaams die niet zo`n geweldige wagen hebben gebouwd nog iets herstellen tijdens het seizzoen.Nu is het zo ,ga je in de fout met het ontwerp gelijk je seizoen is verloren.

  Nog proberen te verbeteren wat anders.Nu is het zo dathet seizoen al half om is dat de teams eens wat terug kunnen doen naaar hetteam dat een grote voorsprong heeft.Het is de bedoeling dat het spannender word en dat kan als de teams tijd krijgen om hun ,,fouten\'\' te herstellen..Het team wat snel is kan proberen sneller te worden maar over het algemeen zal alles wat dichter bij elkaar komen .Dat wil iedere fan toch neem ik aan.

  Die teams waar jij het over hebt komen niet dichterbij, kijk naar het afgelopen- en huidige seizoen. Ze zijn geen meter vooruit gegaan.
