Vettel krijgt alsnog droomprijs voor winnen inhaalklassement

De Formule 1 riep vorig seizoen een nieuwe prijs in het leven. De coureurs konden sindsdien namelijk ook een prijs winnen voor de meeste inhaalacties. In samenwerking met sponsor Crypto.com werden de inhaalacties geteld en uiteindelijk trok Aston Martin-coureur Sebastian Vettel aan het langste eind. De Duitser kon er wel om lachen.

De viervoudig wereldkampioen vroeg zijn engineer na afloop van de seizoensfinale over de radio of hij de prijs had gewonnen. Zijn engineer reageerde bevestigd en Vettel grapte daarop dat hij een miljoen jellybeans had gewonnen. Vettel kreeg echter een gesponsorde award en de snoepjes bleven uit. Nu heeft de sponsor echter besloten om Vettels droomprijs alsnog uit te reiken.
