Rallylegende Loeb gaat DTM-debuut maken

Afgelopen week werkte rallylegende Sébastien Loeb een geheime DTM-test af. Hierdoor ging het geruchtencircuit op volle toeren draaien, men vroeg zich immers af of de Fransman zijn debuut gaat maken in de DTM. Die wens is nu waarheid geworden, Loeb rijdt dit jaar één DTM-race.

Loeb werkte vorige week een test uit voor het Ferrari-team van Red Bull. Het was opvallend aangezien het team dit jaar al tweede vaste coureurs heeft aangesteld in de persoon van Nick Cassidy en Felipe Fraga. Cassidy is echter actief in meerdere klassen waardoor hij niet actie kan komen tijdens alle DTM-races. Nu is daar een oplossing voor gevonden in de figuur van Loeb.

De negenvoudig wereldkampioen rally zal begin volgende maand zijn DTM-debuut gaan maken op het circuit van Portimao. Hij zal hier in de AlphaTauri-kleurige Ferrari van Cassidy stappen. Loeb heeft al aardig wat ervaring op de circuits, hij reed in het verleden op Le Mans en hij was ook actief in het WTCC. De Fransman wordt geciteerd door Motorsport.com: "Ik vind het al mijn gehele loopbaan leuk om te switchen tussen de disciplines. De DTM is een bekend kampioenschap en ik pak deze kans met beide handen aan. Het is een compleet andere manier van rijden dus het wordt een uitdaging."

Vindt het wel een mooi mannetje die loeb! of hij heeft een kreng van een wijf thuis of hij wil gewoon alles een beetje rijden..

Als hij het leuk vindt moet er toch wel een team zijn dat hem vaker in wil zetten dat 1 keer. Legendes in een klasse doen het altijd goed(qua aandacht dan).
