Jenson Button waagt zich dit jaar aan Rallycross

Jenson Button werd in 2009 wereldkampioen na een bijzonder seizoen met het team van Brawn GP. Daarna vertrok Button naar het team van McLaren waar hij een wisselvallige periode kende. Hij ging zijn helm in 2016 aan de wilgen om in 2017 nog eenmalig terug te keren.

Tegenwoordig is Button betrokken bij het team van Williams en levert hij commentaar voor het Britse Sky Sports. Toch zal Button dit jaar ook te zien zijn op de circuits. Button maakt namelijk een bijzondere nieuwe move. Hij zal dit jaar uitkomen in het Nitro Rallycross kampioenschap. Hij zal gaan rijden voor het team van Xite Energy Racing. Hij wordt de teamgenoot van zijn landgenoot Oliver Bennett.
