Albon voorziet teambaas van gelukshaar

Alexander Albon is sinds dit seizoen actief voor het team van Williams. De Thaise Brit komt goed voor de dag en wist al tweemaal in de punten te eindigen. Ook twee weken geleden pakte Albon weer punten nadat hij een sterke inhaalrace reed, zijn team was tevreden en het enthousiasme was groot.

Gekscherend riep men bij Williams dat Albon zijn goede resultaten te danken had aan zijn bijzondere rode haar. In Barcelona heeft men dan ook besloten dat de rode haarkleur geluk brengt. Albon spoot voor de draaiende camera's het haar van zijn teambaas Jost Capito en Sky Sports-commentator David Croft óók rood.

      Eigenlijk kun je wel stellen dat hij het gewoon heel goed doet. Verslaat zijn teamgenoot royaal en weet ook nog een paar punten te pakken. Dat is wel zo ongeveer het maximale dat je op dit moment met de Williams kan doen.

      Albon is ook gewoon een goede coureur. Lag niet ver achter Norris toen de drie Britten 1e, 2e en 3e eindigden in de F2.

      Ik heb ook geen idee waar dit over gaat.

      Maar B.O.P. gaat, zoals we weten, vooral voor content en niet voor context.
      We zullen dus weer moeten raden of het weer eens door een eigen invulling van de vertaling komt of dat er een verhaaltje achter zit dat bijna niemand weet.

      Albon had in Imola zijn haar rood geverfd en kwam in de punten. In Miami heeft hij beide truukjes nog een keer uitgevoerd.

      Ik ga iets mompelen over bijgeloof en hoe dat bij veel sporters een rol speelt.

      Tussen SA en Australië is Albon in Thailand geweest met Lily. Daar hebben ze een weeshuis bezocht en die kinderen mochten zijn haar rood verven.
      Vervolgens haalde hij zijn eerste punt voor Williams. in Australië.
      In Imola was de kleur alweer vager geworden >>> geen punten. Vervolgens maar weer het haar laten verven en >>> in Miami weer in de punten.
      Het hele team had hem beloofd hun haar ook rood te verven als hij weer in de punten zou rijden. Iedereen haakte echter af. :-)

      @Walteij, dát is nou de context die de auteur van dit verhaal mist.
      Een simpel zinnetje dat alles duidelijk maakt.
      De meeste mensen zien Albon alleen maar met een helm op tijdens het rondjes rijden.

    Jammer dat ze Albon bij RB zo ondermaats hebben begeleid en te snel aan de kant gezet, hij had veel beter verdiend.

      Snel aan de kant gezet daar ben ik het niet helemaal mee eens. Ze hebben albon uitgebreid de kans gegeven.
      Slechte begeleiding? Dat is goed mogelijk. Eerst al Gasly die sinds zijn vertrek bij RBR bij het zusterteam mooie dingen laat zien, Albon laat ook zien een goede racer te zijn, toch wel typisch dat beiden bij RBR zogenaamd door de mand vielen.
      Ik denk dat dat team toch ook wel tekort geschoten is met die jongens.

      Is men werkelijk te kort geschoten met de begeleiding van Albon en Gasly, of zien de prestaties van beide heren er nu beter uit naast "mindere" teamgenoten?

      Tja ik denk dat Bakema in deze als je praat over ondermaatse begeleiding een ervaringsdeskundige is ,

      Neemt niet weg dat ie ongelijk heeft en Albon ruimschoots de kans gegeven.
