Video: De reden van Vettels woede richting Sainz

Tijdens de derde vrije training in Monaco klaagden veel coureurs over hinderlijk verkeer. Aston Martin-coureur Sebastian Vettel meldde zich woest over de boordradio, hij was zich rot geschrokken om een actie van Carlos Sainz. De televisiekijker tastte volledig in het duister want de Monegaskische regie besloot doodleuk de beelden niet uit te zenden.

Maar na afloop van de training kwamen de beelden toch naar buiten op sociale media. Op de onboard-beelden van Vettel is te zien dat de Duitser net is begonnen aan een snelle ronde. Eén van de Haas-bolides gaat keurig aan de kant maar als Vettel de volgende blinde bocht instuurt schrikt hij zich kapot. Sainz rijdt midden op de baan en wijkt net op tijd uit. Vettel doet hetzelfde en breekt woedend zijn rondje af.

Tsja, niet handig maar dat kan hier gebeuren. Sainz kan iet in het niks verdwijne.n. Tsunoda bij Verstappen vond ik heftiger omdat je ze daar vaak ziet (bijna) stoppen om iemand langs te laten. Maar uiteindelijk ligt het aan het circuit wat gewoon te smal is voor deze auto's.
