Red Bull wint in Monaco eveneens in de pits

Sergio Perez schreef gisteren de legendarische Grand Prix van Monaco op zijn naam. De Mexicaanse Red Bull Racing-coureur schreef de race op zijn naam na een sterk uitgevoerde strategie van zijn team. Red Bull besloot Perez en zijn teamgenoot Max Verstappen naar binnen te roepen voor een dubbele pitstop.

De race werd dus gewonnen in de pits, Red Bull won daarnaast ook zelf in de pits. De pitstop van Perez was namelijk de snelste van de race, zijn banden werden vervangen binnen 2,30 seconden. De pitstop van Lando Norris was met 2,38 seconden goed voor de tweede tijd. De top drie werd compleet gemaakt door het team van Alpine, de Franse renstal verving zijn banden in 2,42 seconden.
