McNish in Hongarije als oud-coureur in team van stewards

Allan McNish doet in Hongarije voor de tweede keer dit jaar dienst als oud-coureur in het team van racestewards. De Schot zal de wedstrijdleiding in Boedapest van adviezen voorzien, zo maakte de internationale autosportbond FIA bekend.

McNish debuteerde eerder dit jaar in Monaco als steward. De Schot was zelf in 2002 actief in de Formule 1 en bleef in dat seizoen puntloos. Een jaar later was hij derde rijder voor Renault. McNish schreef twee maal de 24 uur van Le Mans op zijn naam, in 1998 en 2008.
