Gasly steunt nieuwe maatregelen: "Blij dat ze dit serieus nemen"

Autosportfederatie FIA kwam gisteravond met belangrijk nieuws naar buiten. Men gaf namelijk aan dat er is geluisterd naar de grote zorgen omtrent de porpoising-problematiek. Vanaf dit weekend gelden er nieuwe maatregelen om het gehobbel tegen te gaan. De coureurs reageren vooralsnog wisselend op de ingreep van de FIA.

De klachten over het gestuiter werden in de afgelopen week alleen maar heviger. De aanleiding hiervoor was de Grand Prix van Azerbeidzjan van vorig weekend. In de straten van Bakoe hadden veel coureurs last van porpoising, vooral de Mercedes-coureurs stuiterden over het asfalt. Mercedes-coureur George Russell liet eerder al weten dat hij zeer tevreden is met de maatregelen.

Boodschap

Russell is zeker niet de enige coureur die te spreken is over de maatregelen van de FIA. Ook AlphaTauri-coureur Pierre Gasly reageerde in Canada opgelucht. De Fransman wordt geciteerd door RaceFans: "Ik ben blij dat ze dit serieus nemen. Ik ben blij dat ze proberen om zo snel mogelijk maatregelen te nemen. Uiteindelijk zijn wij degene die in de auto zitten en met de impact, pijn en stijfheid van onze rug moeten dealen. Ik ben blij dat ze de boodschap begrijpen en snel reageren."

Gezamenlijk

Boze tongen beweren dat vooral het team van Mercedes aandrong op regelwijzingen. Volgens Gasly is het juist zo dat de coureurs eensgezind waren: "We hebben gezamenlijk, teams en auto's er buiten gelaten, gezegd dat dit overduidelijk te veel is. Je kan het je niet echt voorstellen als je er van buiten af naar kijkt of via de onboards. Zodra je in de auto zit er voor anderhalf uur lang klappen krijgt als je 330 rijdt, dan is het een andere perceptie als je het echt meemaakt."

  Gasly is gewoon niet heel snugger, Mercedes wilt dit met als opstapje een actieve vering voor volgend jaar, want dat las ik net ook ergens. Gasly is gewoon niet zo slim om dat in te zien. maar goed. als ik er keihard naast zit dan gaat RB alleen nog maar meer weglopen van de rest en moet Mercedes volgend jaar zonder de actieve vering een heel nieuw concept gaan bedenken.

  Roy, RB is heel bekend met actieve vering, dit zal geen issue zijn echter de Mercedes zal gezien hun concept de meeste voordelen hebben ! en dit kan de uitkomst zijn als ze daadwerkelijk overgaan op actieve vering, let wel er zal sowizo gestemd moeten worden en neem van mij aan de lobby gaat beginnen

  Dat er onenigheid zou ontstaan tussen de teams en de rijdersbond, kon je bij de testdagen al vermoeden.
  Porpoising, in kleine, dan ernstige mate ,weegt vooral op het lichaam van de rijders.
  Ongeacht voor welk team ze rijden.
  FOM en de teams wilden daar geen rekening mee houden.
  Dan krijg je natuurlijk inderdaad dit.

Het is wel duidelijk denk ik nu.
GAS heeft al een contract bij een ander team volgend jaar.
Hoe anders kun je tegen de baas in spreken nu.

  In sommige gevallen gaat je persoonlijke gezondheid boven het belang van je baas.... Red Bull gaat Gasly over 10 jaar niets geven als hij thuis afgekeurd zit omdat z'n rug versleten is. Dus daarom moet je soms je eigenbelang boven dat van je baas plaatsen.

  Je laat de emotie over het teamspel overheersen.
  Gasly kijkt hier naar zijn eigen welzijn, net als dat van de andere rijders.
  De rijdersbond bestaat juist om de belangen van de rijders te verdedigen, niet die van de teams.

  Gasly heeft al vaker laten merken tactisch niet de handigste te zijn ik vermoed dat hij volgen jaar in een andere klasse racet. (zo snel is hij dit jaar niet)

misschien moet de fia ook aan maximale snelheid invoeren..dik 300 is best wel gevaarlijk.
monteer ook meteen remlichten en een richtingaanwijzer
