Hamilton rijdt met regenbooghelm in Canada

Het team van Mercedes besteedt deze maand veel aandacht aan de Pride Month. Sinds de Grand Prix van Azerbeidzjan rijdt de Duitse renstal met een logo in de regenboogkleuren, iets wat ze ook dit weekend en op Silverstone doen. Ook de maatschappelijk betrokken Lewis Hamilton vraagt aandacht voor Pride Month.

Hamilton rijdt in Canada namelijk rond met een aangepast helmontwerp. De oplettende kijker zag tijdens de eerste twee vrije trainingen in Montreal al dat Hamiltons gele helm er iets anders uitziet. Aan de bovenzijde van de helm heeft Hamilton namelijk een blauw vlak toegevoegd met daarin twee handen die een hart vormen. Het hart heeft de kleuren van de regenboog er daaronder staat de tekst 'Love is Love'.

      Ik vind het eigenlijk best wel een mooi plaatje (los van eventuele politieke betekenissen). Alleen vind ik het niet mooi bij de rest van het helmontwerp passen.

    Mooi hoor al die boodschappen op de helmen van de coureurs, Max daarentegen heeft ook een boodschap op zijn helm, Jumbo, met daarbij min of meer de boodschap: kom hier boodschappen doen

Helemaal prima wat mij betreft maar wees dan ook zo eerlijk om ervoor uit te komen. Maar goed, komt tijd komt raad.

      @Rimmer Jezus man, wat een vooringenomen bekrompen reactie is dit nu weer. Ben eigenlijk wel beter van je gewend. Bij de meeste reacties zit er dan toch een soort kwinkslag in, waardoor je iedereen,, jezelf incluis,, op de korrel neemt. Hier sla je wat mij betreft de plank volledig mis.
